                      About the Canadian philosopher

Introduction :

Welcome to all of you. I salute you and welcome you. I am pleased to present to you a philosopher from among the Arab philosophers, a Muslim philosopher.
This philosopher's name
Abu Yusuf Yaqoub bin Ishaq bin Al-Sabah bin Imran bin Ismail bin Muhammad
Ibn al-Ash'ath bin Qais.
This is a philosopher from the Arab Muslim philosophers
The Arab philosopher and the second teacher looks at him
He was called Al-Kindi because he used to live in Canada, in Kufa
Hence the title of Canadian
And he lived in luxury because of the material bliss that he had in his house
Because he was from a rich family
And he lived a life of seclusion, which was far from the writers and thinkers
It was connected to the great translators and philosophers
He is the first of the peripatetic philosophers
He worked hard in his philosophy to introduce Arabs and Muslims to Greek philosophy
Old
And he grew up in his philosophy from now in the year 2022
Until he did philosophy about 6 centuries from the time we are in now
So he did philosophy since that period of time
He has written great books in the field of ethics and metaphysics

Among his most famous philosophy:

Al-Kindi knew great things in the field of thought
And knowing the ancient sciences, he was the leader of his time in those sciences
And that time
He was known as a natural philosopher
Because he researched this existence and what is its secret, as well as a research in astronomy
He researched the theories of many scientists and proved and verified them
He researched Ptolemy's theory, which was related to the solar system
Which was saying that the Earth is the center of a series of spheres
These spheres are united and these spheres are in which the planets and stars revolve
In that, he said that these planets and stars are rational entities that rotate in a circular motion, and their role is limited to obeying God and worshiping Him.
He said that the seasons of the year are different from winter and summer
Related to this is the different positions of stars and planets
One of the most famous is the sun
And that the conditions of people differ according to the change of heavenly bodies

This speech is considered ambiguous because he said the influence of the celestial bodies on the material world
This talk is related to his research in astronomy.

He was not satisfied with research in this field only, which is astronomy

It also researched in the field of medicine and chemistry
And he has in his field of research in medicine
Thirty studies in medicine only influenced by the ideas of Galen
Which is one of his most important works in this field

In the field of chemistry, he opposed the ideas and research of some thinkers
The possibility of extracting precious metals such as gold and silver from base metals
And he wrote a treatise about that, which he called: (A book on invalidating the claim of those who claim to have made gold and silver).
And he conducted a great research in the perfume industry, and he participated with him in the denunciation of the little Arab philosopher, Jaber bin Hayyan, and they researched the perfume industry.
As well as research in cryptography
And search beyond nature
And he sifted into the rules of music

He paid great attention to Islamic philosophy
He researched through Greek philosophers by translating many important philosophical texts
He had a great role in that than other philosophers who preceded him in that.

And as for his philosophical school:

Al-Kindi was the first true Arab Muslim philosopher from other Arab philosophers
A delegation influenced by the thought of Greek philosophers such as Plato and others
It was also influenced by some of the ideas of other philosophical schools
And he was guided in writing from the philosophy of Aristotle
And he searched and scrutinized what is behind nature and who is the creator of it and attributed it to the creation of the Creator God. This is the great philosopher who knew the truth and believed in it.
He has an important theory on the philosophical side that I do not want to forget
Epistemology, which says that God created the mind first, and through it God created all other things
We prove that Al-Kindi was influenced by Platonic realism
in this theory.
Al-Kindi left us and left us a comprehensive library of research and theories in various fields of science
He left us in 873 during the reign of Caliph al-Mu'tamir
This is the life of the Canadian Arab Muslim philosopher
